"One out of every four people in America has visited New York since 9/11." How did they come up with that number? That just doesn't sound right--even for the statistically challenged. (As Mark Twain said, "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.")

What is it that tourists actually do? I would like to know so I could try it one day, but I have a feeling that I would get destracted some 1960s color coded street signs or something and forget about going to the Statue of Liberty or whatever it is they do.

geez, a quick glance at the headline, I thought you said "3.6 Million to Visit GOTHAMIST This Month"... now that would be some stats.

No matter how many people I know work in the toursim industry -- I will ALWAYS complain about tourists.
