Maybe a car crackdown would be more suitable. Then bicyclists woudln't have to try crazy maneuvers not to get run over by a taxi. i dont' even ride a bike and i think this would be better. less pollution, more activity.

Yeah, I'm sure that you as a pedestrian NEVER jay-walk. I can't count the number of times that I've almost got into crashes because a pedestrian thinks about walking against the light, sees me three feet away, and walks in front of me anyway. No, bikers should follow traffic laws, but if we're going to be subject to stupid tickets, so should the 1,000s of other pedestrian "law breakers."

Bike crackdown? WAHOO!! I'm so sick of nearly being mowed down by red-light runners when I have the walk light or delivery people riding on the sidewalk. I am all for biking in the city, but follow the damn rules.
