Larry Brown's Knicks continue to struggle, losing 95-83 to Portland Wednesday night. Brown started his third different lineup in four games, but it was the play in the second half that doomed the Knicks. After limiting the Blazers to 15 of 46 shooting in the first half, the Knicks promplty gave up a 10-0 Portland run to open the second half. Their defense disintegrated and they turned the ball over, and Portland took advantage.
For the Knicks, turning things around won't be easy. They have five more games on this road trip, and Brown's lack of comfort with his personnel makes Gothamist wonder when the first win will come. The Knicks have been dealt a tough schedule, but Brown knows that a self-respecting team should be able to beat squads like the Blazers. Should the Knicks not finish this trip with a few wins in hand, their unlikely shot at the playoffs could take a serious hit before December rolls around. The Knicks visit Golden State Friday night.

My schadenfreude is at an all time high. I always thought Larry Brown's part in the Pistons' success was overrated. Yeah, he got them to play defense, but they already had a team where all 5 starters were at least above average defenders, and they'd done pretty well in playoffs before he came along.
Though in Brown's defense, he did inherit a team with no true point guard or a defensive stopper.
If the knicks set the all time record for opening the season without a win, and I don't know what the record is, I will take everbody from this posting out for a beer to celebrate.
Larry Brown's not a bad guy, and Isaiah is allright too - but those fucking Dolan Assholes should rot in hell. I wouldn't piss on Jimmy Dolan if he were on fire...
