I can't believe you and I visited the same restaurant. The wings sucked. The Ham sucked. The salt potatoes sucked. The grits were great, the gravy on the ham was great. The men's room is revoltingly disgusting. You need to get down south and experience a real BBQ joint. This place has chain written all over it.

Well, it's like a chain in that there's only three of them, and they're all owned by the same couple of folks -- it's not some big scale corporation trying to fool you with what might be good BBQ. I'm not sure how you get "Chili-esque" out of the place, given the abundance of B-movie posters with plenty of boobage, plus the scrawlings in the bathrooms.

i tried this place when it first opened cuz i heard so much about it. i'm from texas and know from good bbq. i have to say, this place not so much. it's, like, a chain. the food was kind of reheated tasting and the decor was totally Chili's-esque.

yeah i wanted to take my kids up there a couple of saturdays ago and on a whim called pretty early that afternnon to make a reservation, figuring i wouldn't really need one, but why not, and all they could give me was 10:00. so not only should you make a res, maybe you need to do it a few days in advance for a saturday night.
