Project Rebirth: Still Going Strong

2005_11_projectrebirth1.jpgIt's been a couple of years since we checked in on Project Rebirth, which is documenting the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site. The project still seems to be going strong, with its six 35mm cameras continuing to shoot one frame every five minutes from various vantage points around the site. The cameras are supposed to continue rolling until the rebuilding of the site is complete-- and that may not happen for ten years or more. On the Project Rebirth website, you can click on their timeline to see time-lapse movies from each of the six cameras, or check out the film trailer, which combines all of the footage into a single short film. The site also has a set of photo galleries documenting all the major milestones over the last four years.
