-As you can see from Tien's picture above, the ING New York City Marathon is over. Check flickr for more photos.
-Here is a brief and probably counterproductive reminder: For this Thursday only, pizza at Lombardi's costs only a nickel. Get in line early.
-In order to save it from the wrecking ball, some folks are trying to landmark the tunnel garage in SoHo.
-Gunshot sensors in the Bronx?
-Pirates. Really. Pirates.
-Even as gas prices go up the number of places to pump gas in the city keeps dropping.
-Lest you forget the city's next big project, the Post looks at Governors Island.
-In case you are as curious and forgetful as we are, here's a reminder: the Boondocks turns into a TV show tonight at 11 on Cartoon Network.
-Speaking of precocious children... Our favorite story of the day has to be those of the poor families who went to a screening of the wretched Chicken Little only to find themselves watching a "foreign film that opened with a young man committing suicide." Good job AMC!

my favorite marathon scene (that would not be if it had been my house):

20+ runners peeing in a tiny vacant lot between two houses. 4th ave b/t warren & wycoff, brooklyn.
