come on, you're all over thinking this, who cares, good for country music. First of all, all the hipsters on this site must of forgot that some of the bands that get written up as must sees are southern (country influenced), such as The Kings of Leon, My Morning Jacket, and Mr. Johnny Cash.

And to think that this past fourth of July celebration here in Boston has a country music theme. They're invading. Plus, does it make sense to have a country music award show in a city that is one of the few markets in the U.S. that doesn't have a country music radio station?

Isn't this pandering to people who... Yes, I HATE those Southerners! They're ALL so intolerant. WTF? The big names in mainstream country music might champion the red state mentality, but comments like this one reflect pretty poorly on the you, Frank. Isn't this pandering to people who enjoy convincing politicians to take away certian rights like Women's Right to Choose, Calling someone "Un-American" for not supporting the choice to go to war in Iraq. Racism, Homophobia,Religious Intolerance. These yahoo Rednecks should be shown the door or bridge and tunnel and told to bring their B.S Patriotic crap to some two bit town in Arkansas. The people of NYC should be ashamed these people are in our city.
