Giants-Redskins Preview

2005_09_sgiantslogo.jpgIt should be a bruising battle when the Redskins come to town for a clash with the Giants Sunday at 1pm. Washington is 4-2 thanks to a strong defense and the rejuvenated Mark Brunell. Former Jet, Santana Moss, is having a stellar season averaging almost 20 yards a catch with five TD’s.

The Giants will take the field with heavy-hearts mourning the loss of their beloved owner Wellington Mara. Mr. Mara had been associated with the Giants since their inception and the team plans to honor his memory on Sunday.

The Giants will need to establish their running game early against Washington. Using Tiki Barber early and often may be the key to exploiting Washington’s defense. Defensively, the Giants have to figure out a way to force turnovers and keep the Redskins from making the big play. Gothamist thinks the Giants will prevail 21-17.
