I agree… It’s credible enough. My only wish is that more should have been lodged in him. Temporarily? Maybe there should be some sort of class from those are trained to aim for the neck… Materialistic? I think not. I don’t expect that thug to understand the basic of social contract. Oh please, acting on his desires? Get a grip. They are rules, and punishment for violating those rules; you break the former, you pay with the latter.

actually there's more to the news... "Police also found bodies of six squirrels, four homeless, five immigrants, two strayed cats, and one lame dog close to the crime scene, all with bullets to fatal organs." I would say their hit rate is more than 10%

stupid: The 'lad' threatened someone with a deadly weapon (pellet gun or not, the point is whether the threat is credible, not whether it was actually real). I'd think property crime would be more like snatching the iPod when its owner wasn't looking.

Maybe it's their glocks? I bet if they still had their 6 shot wheelguns, the hit rate would of been better. With all the crap they done to the trigger of the glocks, it's a wonder they could hit paper. At least they got home safely and the dog was not hurt. and, next time live in a better area you ipodders, how bout instead of spending money on an ipod, spend it on a better place to live??????

this iPod robber was out on bail (he had already beaten an immigrant - where is ACLU???) When your life is in danger it is not the time to count bullets (yeah, 10 cents per bullet is a cost for taxpayers).

When you are afraid, you'll empty your weapon as quickly as possible. Of course, this whole story indicates why you should be carrying a glock and not an ipod. The police were lucky this time, but crime is out of control, especially for those of us who can't afford to live in Manhattan. The crime statistics are BS. It doesn't matter that its illegal to carry if you aren't a wealthy democrat in this city. Do it anyway. Its better to risk 6 months in jail than lose your life.

ok, crime aside, how do the police manage to get off 20+ shots? i always imagined they shoot, i don't know...3-4 shots like they do on tv, but is their aim really that bad? not that i'm any better, but a 10% 'hit' rate? is that considered good?
