Gothamist: Macy's Escalator Defingers Child

I saw another esalator incident on Thursday at Filene's Basement in Union Sq. A woman was riding the escalator and put a pair of rain boots too close to the edge of the stair where it meets the glass wall and it got caught in the gap and was completly ripped up. luckily, she wasn't wearing it, but it was really scary--I remember hearing stories on 20/20 when I was a kid about not standing too close to the gap because things like that DO happen!

I thought this happened on Friday at the Garden before the Ranger game? And like 7 people got injured and one kid lost his finger. My father works there and told me about it.
