Giants-Cowboys Preview

2005_09_sgiantslogo.jpgThe Giants face a familiar foe coached by a familiar face when they play the Cowboys this weekend. Dallas is 3-2 and coming off of an impressive win over the Eagles. Bill Parcells has brought Drew Bledsoe in to lead his offense and get the ball to Keyshawn Johnson and Terry Glenn, which he has done effectively so far passing for 10 TD’s and over 1300 yards. Julius Jones is listed as questionable for the game and if he is unable to go rookie Tyson Thompson will be asked to carry the ball.

The Giants will look to reverse a record of 3-13 after bye weeks. Eli Manning leads a dynamic offense that is capable of putting points on the board whenever they touch the ball. The Giants will need to figure out a way to tighten up a pass defense giving up 323 yards a game if they are going to become a playoff team. Sunday’s game should be a shootout and while the Giants will keep it close, Gothamist thinks Dallas will prevail 38-35.
