It is amusing to see fans blame A-Rod and Matsui, because if not for those two hotties (just kidding, A-Rod's ears are way too big!) the Yanks wouldn't have been in the playoffs at all, probably. Also, Mike Piazza repeats himself a lot for a supposed straight man.

At least our team didn't spend 200m plus on a bunch of losers. You played a week longer than we did! Come join the rest of the Mets as we are throwing a party. yeah mike you approach every at bat as one step closer to golf. the mets play like shit because they could care less - it shows too. enjoy hating the yankees, because you'll be doing it for a long time - there's nothing else for you to do in october anyway. there's is nothing, nothing wrong with the yankees m.o. they can pay it, if it doesn't pay off then boo on them. but you can't fault them for constantly tweaking the team to find the best results, and the 4mm attendance seems to prove that it is appreciated.

Torre should -- and hopefully will -- be called out for his horrible decisions regarding pitching changes and his inability to actually "manage" a game. The Yankees have a bloated payroll, committed to folks way past their prime and unable to "fix it all next year". C

katie couric should be sad because she's such a miserable c*nt. it is really too bad since the yanks really drove hard the last month to catch up and then fall short. this is actually a bigger choke than 3 in a row to boston last year. the knicks, who are the knicks? they're owned by a bunch of criminals and anyone that buys one ticket to see them should be drawn and quartered. the yankees are entitled to go all the way as long as they play as hard as their desire - not many clubs can claim they have the same goals.

Heads are going to roll in the Yankees organization this winter. One thing that I find particularly amusing is how quickly the NY fans and press turn on the Yankees, the Post calling them the "Bronx Bum$". Or Johnson getting soundly booed when they were in the Bronx. I understand that the Yankees get paid a crap load of money, but what happened to supporting your team through good times and bad? It's almost as if people feel the Yankees are entitled to make it to the World Series every year. Let's face it, they got beat by a better team. At least give them props for playing a pretty good year and making it this far.

What's wrong with being sad for Torre? His guys failed him massively - he should be sad. ARod and Matsui were absolute disgraces last night - what a terrible way to end the series. Uhm... go Knicks? :)

This made me sad, because while I'm not hugely invested in the Yankees (or Mets), I like NY teams to win win win. That said, I was watching the Today show and Katie Couric was all sad about the Yankees losing because "she felt so bad for Joe Torre" or some such, and I wanted to say, lady, are you kidding me?

Jeter and Mo are the only ones who deserve their salaries. If only it was Paul O'Neil instead of ARod at bat. At least now I can concentrate on my work.
