The person is walking from the L going towards the F&V trains.
As for the Second one,... I am going to either have to guess that it is a Brooklyn/Parkslope station, or a local train some where in the 20's/midtown.
There are some corridors in Penn Station that look very similar...
actually I think the first one is the men's room at the Winter Garden Theater. The women's room is quite a bit smaller of course...
