<description>&lt;p&gt;I agree that the MTA can be a screw-up sometimes, but as a New Yorker who has been working in DC for a few months (and reading the Washington Post) I can say that the screw-ups on the pristine-looking Metro make me appreciate the subway all that much more. The Metro is currently fighting with an order of hundreds of train cars that are full of more glitches than the Acela Express. The MTA does, sometimes, know what it is doing, and things could be a lot worse.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
