Blowout!

2005_09_stomlinson.jpgChargers’ fans got the first, the last and most of the laughs in between Sunday night as San Diego obliterated the Giants 45-23. LaDanian Tomlinson showed why many consider him to be the best running back in the NFL with 192 yards rushing and three TD’s. He also threw for a touchdown on a great halfback option play to start the second half.

Eli Manning was the subject of scorn and derision from the San Diego crowd all night and responded with his finest day as a pro. Manning completed 24 of 41 passes for 352 yards and two TD’s. He looked poised and confident as he pulled the Giants to within one point at halftime, but the Giants’ defense could not stop the Chargers.

The loss while brutal was not unexpected. There are some positives on offense that the Giants can build on, but they must get their defense in order before next Sunday’s game against the Rams.

The Giants' offense has been a pathetic joke for a bout 3 years now. Michael Strahan is a douchebag who should stick to making soup commercials.

Do you mean the defense? Because Michael Strahan plays on the defense. And also, the offense was clicking pretty good last night, so I'm guessing you mean defense. They get a good about of sacks and tackaways, but give up mad yardage.

That's bad grammar at the start of this entry. It should be either "Chargers fans" or "The Chargers' fans," not "Chargers' fans."

yes, my mistake, I meant defense. Apologies.
