holy cow jen! you need need NEED to re-read your submissions before you post them. i just read 3 by you in the past 5 minutes and all 3 had grammatical errors that mace the sentence that contained them completely nonsensical. please be more careful.

Oh, and making 17th st. into a one-way eastbound street is an absolutely horrible idea. You'd have cars coming even faster around that Broadway corner, and you'd have even more traffic going west on 13th st., which is already jammed most of the time, and now has to deal with the Whole Foods loading dock as well.

Agree with John, the sidewalks in front of Whole Foods/Virgin are narrow enough as it is, with folks getting in and out of the subway and these two megastores. The north end of the park isn't the problem, the south end is. (And they wanted to put a restaurant in the plaza, right?)

Don't change anything. Union Square's inconveniences and mortal traffic perils are part of its unique idiosyncratic nature. This stinks of Rattner and his cronies. Screw you tourists! Sorry, just thought I'd take the opposing line today.
