Agreed. We can handle these gatherings with no problem at all. Don't drive through the city anyway so it won’t bother me as much. But do we have to allow the French delegation into the city? The traffic we can handle, but I’m not sure about the smell.

New York is one of the few places in the world that can absorb the kind of massive gatherings like the UN General Assembly in stride. I mean, we frequently have several parades and festivals of tens of thousands of participants in several parts of the city at the same time. A hundred heads of state and their entourages swinging by East 45th Street is no sweat.
