I used to agree with most every position of the ACLU and NYCLU. Over the past five years the org. has lost it's teeth and purpose and has become a haven for partisan kooks. The convention was a year ago. It was a tense situation and fortunatly there were few injuries. The conventioneers got to assemble and the protestors got to protest. The drama queens at the NYCLU should let go of the tortured rhetoric and move on to valid beefs.
