It's the weekend before Labor Day and we're gettin' out of town. If we weren't, we'd be headed to one of the following:

2005_08_artswigstock.jpgMUSIC: Ted Leo plays a free show tonight at the Seaport Music Festival. We've been to a lot of these this summer and trust us, they're the perfect way to spend the after work hours. Tigers and Monkeys are opening. Get there early, sit on the pier, grab a drink and relax.

FILM: indieWIRE continues its monthly series with the Apple Store - SoHo, presenting indie film professionals discussing various aspects of the filmmaking process. Today filmmaker Maya Churi discusses her interactive web narrative "Forest Grove," which screened at the 2005 Sundance Online Film Festival.

ART: Tristan Eaton, Graffiti Artist + more, has a show opening at The Show Room this weekend. The show runs through September 9th, the opening is tomorrow. We interviewed Tristan not too long ago, check it out.

DANCE PARTY: Neighborhoodies is having another dance party with a really long name, "The Neighborhoodies Gold Soundz Night Society and Amateur Cat Burglar League". There will be free Goose Island beer from 10-11, to help you get your groove on.

WIGSTOCK!:
This weekend Wigstock is back in town. Self described as "the world's most legendary, drag-centric extravaganza!" Go let loose and have some fun for a couple of hours this weekend.
