BBQ NYC, which is on Saturday, is already sold out, but you can still get your ribs on at the Sixth Annual Blues, Barbecue and Fireworks on Sunday. This year's participants include Daisy May’s BBQ U.S.A., plus relative newcomers Dinosaur Bar B Que, RIB, Smoked Barbecue, and Spanky’s BBQ. Gothamist on last year's event.

August 30: Wine Tasting at Partage
Free. Wine. Need we say more, really? Join one of Partage's "Wine Gurus" as he guides you through some of his favorites. Make your reservations online. 7PM, 92 7th Avenue.

Aug 30: Fourth Annual Secret Tomato Lovers Society Dinner
Okay, tomato lovers, time to come out of hiding. At the Fourth Annual Secret Tomato Lovers Society Dinner, you can share your love with the rest of the world. There will be "tomato gossip," followed a discussion led by Andrew Smith, a writer and lecturer on education, international relations, food and culinary history, and an all-tomato menu prepared by Stephen Lyle of Village. $65.00 for American Institute of Wine & Food members, $80.00 non-members; reservations can be madeonline. 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, 62 West 9th Street between 5th & 6th Aves.
