I agree, if gothamist finds it's necessary to insert a 'joke' in every posting to appear hip, leave the crime reportings to real journalists and stick with them pandas.

That's right by my office and that guy is really nice. I hope he pulls through. Gothamist, you really shouldn't bother trying to make a *funny* when it comes to stories about people clinging to life. We're all desensitized enough without such useless comments.
