50 Cent: Rich and Secure

The heightened security near Penn Station isn't because of some new terrorist threats: It's because 50 Cent is in town! The NYPD is clamping down around Madison Square Garden to make sure the two night stand goes off without a hitch. This past March, there was a shooting outside of Hot 97 during a 50 Cent appearance, which then turned into a brief war but ended happily with some literally big checks. On a NYC security scale, the security will be less nuts than during the Republican National Convention but possibly more intense than an Eastern Conference Finals.

The Daily News says 50 Cent is really rich; well, of course, he is rich when the Connecticut Wasps are dying for a glimpse of him.
