Peoria Stroker, LLC is proud to present UNSPEAKABLE: Richard Pryor Live & Uncensored, a dramatic fantasia. Explosive, underground actor and award winning filmmaker join forces to explore the tragic genius of Richard Pryor.

Sex, Drugs, Comedy, and Paul Mooney. An unflinching ride through the emotional landscape of comedic legend, Richard Pryor. Experience his rise to super stardom in the shadow of Bill Cosby and his blazingly self-destructive love affair with cocaine… and Jennifer.

This premiere presentation features a dynamic cast: Benja K., Deborah Keller, Dominique Morisseau, Michelle Wilson, Steve Ramshur, Richard Carroll, Paris Campbell, and James Murray Jackson, Jr., co-writer

Director, co-writer, Rod Gailes OBC, brings a cinematic vision to the provocative odyssey of Richard Pryor with an ensemble approach highlighting the comedian’s journey from damaged child to surviving legend.

With over 3 years in development, UNSPEAKABLE had it’s creative genesis at Black Nexxus, Inc., creative home of renowned acting coach and producer (Broadway’s “A Raisin in the Sun”), Susan Batson whose clients include: Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Juliette Binoche, Jennifer Lopez, and Sean “P-Diddy” Combs among others.

This unauthorized exploration of the tattered psyche of Richard Pryor makes its world premiere at The New York International Fringe Festival in August of 2005.
