Escort Arrested for Prostitution

2005_08_escort.jpgCould too much publicity be a (gasp) bad thing? Well, if you're an "escort" and bragging about making big bucks, then, yeah, maybe. Natalia McLennan, who was profiled in a New York magazine cover story, was charged with money laundering, prostitution and promoting prostitution last week. Her lawyer complained to the NY Post that McLennan was arrested because:

"[The police] pieced together basically quotes from all the articles about her and interviews that she's done. It's basically that they saw her on the Donny Deutsch show and the Paula Zahn show and they read the article in New York magazine.

"They have no person who has ever seen her perform an act of prostitution. It's insane. They've arrested her because of some newspaper articles and some sensationalism."

Interesting, but this is an important note for all would-be, wanna-be "number one escorts": It's a slippery slope because escort pretty much implies prostitute, and the NYPD just believes that for $2000 an hour, your john's getting more than handholding.

Hey, Prostitution is really against the law. In the my sense Escort and Prostitution both are really a different thing. And when you are enjoying and passing your time with the girl, Who takes a money for this one. This is the Escort. The hard core sex is not found in this criteria.

    Paris escort girls
  • This one is really looking so cool news about Escort. Even according to mine this one is all happened for money, And dude money really makes you crazy for anything.

Well another idiot harlot put themselves in a position to get locked up and possibly railroaded. Since Giuliani became Mayor followed by Bloomberg there is zero tolerance for violent crime(good thing) but the rest of the zero tolerance is B.S. They will destoy anyone who makes a lot of money by illegal means. Prostitution which is a misdemeanor can be trumped up into money laudering, tax evasion and if she brings a fellow harlot with her to a client now she is madam of the year, so throw in racketering. What is sickening is you have citizens who like this police state type crap. They can take a misdemeanor and trump up the charges and the police will lie too if need be to put a woman like this away for 25 years just to kiss their cop supervisors ass. Hey welcome to New York!!!

hmmm...well, if i recall correctly, she didn't actually do a lot of the talking....that would be her now-incarcerated boyfriend, which is really who the New York article is about, cover pix notwithstanding....the article says, actually, surprisingly little about her and i was surprised at how little it actually quoted her...

my reaction after flipping through that issue and examining the photos was that she's not that hot. i guess if her greatest asset were her beauty, she'd have been a high-priced model rather than an escort. the fact that she found her niche in escort services probably speaks to the quality of her personality, which would probably compare favorably to that of your average fashion model. but even so, at those prices, i'd expect her to be clearly better looking than anyone i ever dated. the most alluring pic was the one where she's looking in the bathroom mirror, i.e., her face was obscured.

    youre not a hooker.

  • davey

i'm simply refuting the notion that any publicity is good publicity. do you think that this woman can go to her high school reunion, or have a normal life life, or go to a party without being pointed at, etc.? for the rest of her life, she's going to be "that hooker girl". i don't think that i'd want that kind of publicity.

  • sp

I dont think people typically bring hookers home to meet their mothers, do you davey?

  • jr

You know, I think I would take paris hilton home to meet my mother, if I thought she'd have something interesting to say (paris) while we were there. Not sure about after the meeting, though.

  • davey

i don't know about that. how many dates do you think that monica lewinsky goes on? or heidi fleiss? or, for that matter, would you take paris hilton home to meet your mother?

  • sp

Hey, any publicity is good publicity. She will be able to raise her already inflated rates after this all "blows" over... More power to her.

  • davey

maybe. i think if she hadn't been plastered on the cover of a popular magazine and talking about her experience(s) as if she was above the law, then nobody would've cared. not smart of her, in my book. i think the nypd or da or whomever only really cares about this if somebody's yapping their mouth about it.

  • Myabe the DA initiated it??

  • davey

i don't think, i think that the nypd have more important things to worry about than this. i'm guessing that it's more of a wounded pride-type thing because she's so blatantly and publicly talking about what she did. if she had any brains, she'd have kept quiet. ah, well.

  • Yep, think your right...

What amusee me is that after that Article, they could nab her on Tax evasion. You'd think that she'd be a little careful...

  • Even money says she pleads out.
