Lovin' Larry

2005_07_larryknicks.jpgIt's done: As expected, Larry Brown is now the new head coach of the NY Knicks. A Times article says Brown is "noted for his ability to teach players basic basketball skills and for his belief in ball movement on the court..." and these are fine things: Players on an NBA team should know how to play basketball and ball movement on the court is good, too especially when you want to win. Anyway, it's time for you to write the caption for this photo. Here are a few of our thoughts:

- And Now The Honeymoon Can End
- Thomas: "Thank you for coming..."
Brown: "We're slashing payroll..."
- "Will you still hug me if I quit this job too?"
- "Can I get on the health plan stat?"
- "Just so you know, the team sucks."
- "We still haven't told Herb yet, so don't say anything."

What's your caption? And the Knicks' website is all about the Larry Love.

"I already can feel some ball movement."

As reported in Newsday a few days ago, the Knicks are now paying 4 coaches a total of roughly 20 million dollars for next season.

Wow.

"together, we're gonna take this team absolutely no-fucking-where."

5 years too late, now Larry gets his dream job coaching a nightmare team.

These owners make me rethink my hatred of scott layden - the sh1t just drips down from the top with MSG.

larry's the best, and I would like nothing better than a championship - but really now, who believes he has ANYTHING to work with?

FYI-I just gave up my season tickets this year, it would be criminal to give this team any money.

Since he now seems to want to work for Great Detroit Pistons Guards of the Past, Larry will move on when Dave Bing finally gets that GM's job somewhere...

How about?

Isiah-"You know Larry, once you go black.."
Larry-"Yeah, yeah, my wife told me that already."
I-"She should know."
L-"Excuse me?"
I-"Nothing, welcome aboard coach."
