Another Scorcher, Another Record

2005_07_telesun.jpgYesterday, the weather dealt New York City another record-setting day in power usage, 13,059 megawatts by 5PM. Con Ed said, "This is the first time we have ever gone over 13,000 in the 123-year history of Con Edison." A few thousand houses in the Bronx and Westchester lost their power, and cable problems forced Con Ed to ask buildings in Harlem had to reduce the use of some appliances. And even commercial buildings in city took the step to dim certain areas of their buildings. But thankfully, it's cooler today - we'll be able to venture outside without needing a gallon of water.

I wonder it they asked Times Square Area to darken up a bit? Anyone go by there at night the last few days??

Nice Picture! From Teletubbies?

I turned my A/C down to 65 Degrees yesterday. My room was freeeeezing. I'm doing my part!

I recall when I was young and Grandpa would exclaim on warm summer days "The sun's as hot as an asian baby's head."
