Oh yeah, I heard about that Adidas stuff.. it actually uses cotton to absorb the sweat, I read. I might try that.

Well being used to summer that seems to last year round here in TX, I can understand the feeling...that sweaty feeling that is.

However, I was up in NYC last week and the heat there nearly knocked me out. But thanks to Adidas 24hr Control Absorbent-Deo I was still smelling fresh as I passed out on the sidewalk. I don't know if they have it for guys yet, but I can say it works and it doesn't mess up your clothes either.

It's aluminum free so you don't have to worry about dying while slathering it on. (Now that sounds like a winning slogan, doesn't it?)

it was henry miller - the air conditioned nightmare. but nature deserves to be "rejected" when it's like this outside. disgusting. i am wearing a dress today that's like winona ryder-circa-1994. but who cares? it's evil out there and this is the least restrictive article of clothing i own.

First of all, who wears a shirt for more than a day, 2 days? 3 days? That's just dirty. I don't think NY'r wash theur clothes as much as we do in Jersey because no one has a washer in their apartment. If i wear something for 20 minutes or longer, IT'S LAUNDRY!

Second. Please wear anti-perspirant AND deordorant. Try Sure or Ban . You may like going "au natural" but no one wants to look at your sweaty pits or smell your B.O. Thats just obscene. Hygene please!

I think the clear gels usually leave less of that white deposit on your clothes (and that white stuff *never* washes out.) Personally, I like the Mitchum unscented gel.

To Edward, you're talking about the dedorant-aluminum-alzheimer's theory, right? I think the jury's still out on that one. Besides, shunning deodorant won't make any differece if you're still using aluminum utensils, wrapping your food in Reynold's wrap; eating and drinking from aluminum cans, etc...

Deodorant is made of poison. Literally. Anything that's not doesn't work. So there is no 'best choice', it all smells crappy, is mostly ineffective in this heat/humidity combo, and is poisioning our bodies. Isn't the heat great?

I use Tom's of Maine. It doesn't stop you from sweating, but it does work admirably well on the no-smell aspect. (On particularly awful days, I carry it with me just in case I need a paranoia-induced reapplication.) And it definitely doesn't ruin clothes like anti-perspirants do.

Plus, I hate the smell of sweat breaking through the anti-perspirant. All sweaty-chemically. Yuck. I love Tom's.
