Duh! Get your head out of those books, bookworm. Are those library searches random? They were searching all bags for people leaving the Brooklyn Public Library 30 years ago. That's fairly effective, though. Just picking a few people to search every once in a while and then asking for their consent isn't. Sooner or later, you have to leave the library, so a thief would have no choice but to submit to the search. Unlike a bomber who just gets to walk away from a search.

I guess most people who are against this measure don't read very much. Because if they did, they'd know that at the Mid-Manhattan and Donnell libraries they search your bags on the way in and on the way out. I don't see anybody protesting against that.

Felix the Cat is going to have one hell of a time catching the Q train nowadays. "would it have killed the guy to design it better? was he in such a rush to make a buck that he had to go with the most boring font and design ever?" Yes on all counts. Look at virtually ALL of the NYC themed t-shirts out there nowadays. They are all designed like a$$. Milton Glaser is so needed nowadays.

Ironically, I can't think of a single greater factor than wearing this shirt that would cause one to be singled out by the cops for a bag search. Maybe one that said "Richard Reid Is My Homeboy" but probably not even. "WWAD--What Would Atta Do?"
