Duh! Get your head out of those books, bookworm. Are those library searches random? They were searching all bags for people leaving the Brooklyn Public Library 30 years ago. That's fairly effective, though. Just picking a few people to search every once in a while and then asking for their consent isn't. Sooner or later, you have to leave the library, so a thief would have no choice but to submit to the search. Unlike a bomber who just gets to walk away from a search.

I guess most people who are against this measure don't read very much. Because if they did, they'd know that at the Mid-Manhattan and Donnell libraries they search your bags on the way in and on the way out. I don't see anybody protesting against that.

I guess those people who will bitch about being searched will also be the most vocal if something bad happens. Please leave this idea alone its better than nothing.

Nobody with this silly shirt is going to get searched, anyway. The cops can tell the difference between a suicide bomber and a smelly skateboarder who hates authority because his daddy cut off his allowance.

I'd rather be searched than decapitated by an explosion.
I'd also say that anyone who claims to disagree is not being completely honest.
I bought a "Bush is Over" shirt before the last election. What a dick.

How about "Social Commentary Shirts are so 2002"
or "Talking about Civil rights is pretty lame and wearing a shirt about it is even lamer". or the good old "free my pants". seriously, anyone who wears any of this "free tyson", "free martha", "free lil kim", "free The president of Tyco" are motherfucking twats. seriously, ironic hipsters are douchebags. Coner Oberst is the antichrist.

Felix the Cat is going to have one hell of a time catching the Q train nowadays.

"would it have killed the guy to design it better? was he in such a rush to make a buck that he had to go with the most boring font and design ever?"

Yes on all counts. Look at virtually ALL of the NYC themed t-shirts out there nowadays. They are all designed like a$$.

Milton Glaser is so needed nowadays.

Ironically, I can't think of a single greater factor than wearing this shirt that would cause one to be singled out by the cops for a bag search. Maybe one that said "Richard Reid Is My Homeboy" but probably not even. "WWAD--What Would Atta Do?"
