Don't forget the Newark Bears, in the independent Atlantic League. I've been there many times and got to see Jose and Ozzie Canseco, Jimmy Leyritz, Rickey Henderson... okay, in the has-been portion of their careers, but that's not that different from the never-will-bes you get in short-season single-A... There's also the Long Island Ducks and the New Jersey Jackals, but those are hard to get to if you don't have a car.

I had the distinct honor to be the scoreboard operator at Keyspan Park for about two weeks in the summer of '03. In other news, I'm anxiously awaiting a post with your Siren thoughts and recap.
