Shouldn't the 7 line be used to improve life in Queens? Every day, for the last 40 years, my mother has been taking the Q25/34 to the 7 train because they never extended the subway line far enough. I think back then, many Queens residents fancied themselves as more a part of Long Island than the city. In fact, my father used to write Flushing, Queens, Long Island on his envelopes. Those bucolic Queens days are long gone and that part of the city is overcrowded. It would be great if the 7 line went further than just Main Street.

I am sick to death of Silver's damn-the-rest-of-the-city attitude. Yes, we all want Lower Manhattan to gleam, but would he mind if we let the rest of the city grow just a little bit too?

Hmmm, this sounds like a job for super Green candidate for city council Robyn Sklar who has been very vocal about the 7 train! Robyn help the 7 train!
