Picture Perfect Holiday Weekend Weather

2005_07_liberty.jpgThere's just a few more hours of steamy weather ahead of us. The wind will start veering to the south this evening, and should be out of the northwest by the time we wake up tomorrow morning. It will be slightly cooler tomorrow. More importantly, the humidity is going to drop like a rock. With the humidity gone we can expect clear skies, and a much better view of Miss Liberty, through Tuesday. Highs should be around 80, lows in the lower 60s. Break out the sunblock!

Before the skies clear up there's the potential for severe weather this afternoon into the evening. The Weather Service expects the worst of the thunderstorms will stay north of the city. Nothing's yet appeared on ye olde radar but be prepared for thunderstormy weather, including damaging winds, large hail, and very heavy rain later today.
