i'll agree with you, they should have let him know. but i don't think he's the one that should be taking him out of trade talks. it's not up to him.

I disagree. He should have been kept in the loop by management at the bare minimum. No wonder he was a little cranky. Stay here Gary, we need some fire on the team.
