I used to live there - that neighborhood is most aptly referred to as the "FuBu Ghetto" btw, in my two years in the fubu ghetto, i witnessed two robberies and was almost pissed on by a homeless man

Yeah, I work at 26th and Broadway, and while I think it is technically either Northern Chelsea or the Flatiron district, it feels like the Garment district. Lots of boxes being wheeled around, "WHOLESALE ONLY" signs in the window, and guys standing around who are comfortable informing you of what they think of your breasts.

I work in the area, and we refer to it as the "import-export district." But it should be called Dirty Sketch Land. There are always fights and other violent things going on there.
