Gothamist: Moynihan Station Troubles

The ESDC has not played by the rules in concerns to the Moynihan Station Project because Danny Moynihan did not want the Project to overshadow the Legacy of Jim Farley Moynihan's Political idol. Those responsible for the Project have tried to reconstitute the GPO instead of constructing Moynihan Station within the Historical Landmark. Historical Landmarks are not supposed to be transformed into anything, thats the hole purpose of the NR's Listing. Read Daniel Moynihans Bosses and Reformers and you will understand why Moynihan wanted to move Penn Station into the Farley Building. Moynihan wanted to honor Farley, not to have his name replaced by his own.

Silver needs to go. He is a pure pork politician and I guess he could extort enough of our tax money this weekend. I still haven't gotten over his vetos on the 2nd ave subway if you all recall. F him.

Maybe teh city can take the $800 million the pledged for Sheldon Silver's district. He didn't vote for the West Side stadium so he shoudn't get his bribe now.

Now now, Penn Station is not that depressing. You must be talking about the AMTRAK side, now thats depressing. But its reaching its capacity and needs to be expanded or replaced. Moynihan Station . . . I still don't like that name.
