Another Sign We're All in the Wrong Business

2005_06_dukesofhazz.jpgIf only to enrage everyone else about not being in on the Internet wave, the NY Post has a little feature about the guy who has to watch Dukes of Hazzards reruns and maintain a blog with contests and interviews for the Country Music Channel. Christopher Nelson is blogging from his East Village apartment to the tune of $100,000. Gah! Gothamist thinks we remember seeing a job posting for this position, though it might have been a contest requiring would-be Boss Hogg bloggers to have knowledge. Dick Wolf, anytime you want to start your Law & Order channel with a rocking blog, you know who to call!

  • Boss Hogg Here,

That new movie ain't got nothin on the original documentary from Hazzard in the 80's. I'm the real Boss Hogg, and you people don't know your hind end from your elbows.

  • Rose

    BLOG JOB.

  • A-huh-huh a-huh-huh... you said blog...

  • Rose

Never watched any Dukes of Hazzard show. Not going to see the movie. But, wow, $100,000 for a blog job! Alone. At home. (Beavis and Butthead laugh now).

  • Rocknrope... was that the one when Bo and Luke find themselves in some kind of trouble and have to drive the General Lee really fast to outfox Sherriff Roscoe P. Coltrane and Boss Hogg and then have to go to seek the sage wisdom from Uncle Jesse who knows stuff about Boss Hogg since they used to run moonshine together and every so often for no apparent reason (except the obvious) Daisy saunters through in an outfit that hasn't fit her since the day before her fourteenth birthday? I think I remember that one.

Don't get me wrong. I love the Dukes. Just two good ol' boys, never meanin' no harm...

  • Captain Midnight

Hey, y'all take that back. The Dukes rule. And this from a dyed in the wool Yankee who wouldn't be caught dead watching Nascar. Yee-hah!

  • Rocknrope

100K and a job at home? That almost makes it worth the fact that he has to watch the Dukes....almost.

Here's one Dukes Trivia question, what episode did Bo Duke insinuate "keeping it in the family" with Daisy, who was open to the idea?

  • Wow. Seven years ago, people get paid $200,000 to build average websites that generate no revenue. Now people get the same for blogging. That's what akes America great. Well, that and hot chicks in American flag motif bikinis (preferably firing machine guns, too).
