June 3 -- June 9: Germany: a SENSE-sational Experience
Okay, the name leaves something to be desired, but you can still sample a variety of German foods and beverages and view cooking demonstrations by chefs at Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall every day from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Red cabbage and spätzle? But, of course. Gummi bears? Got 'em. June 4: Shop and Cook: Chinatown for Fish and Seafood
Don't be freaked out by the live seafood flopping around in Chinatown -- Abby Hitchcock, chef and owner of CamaJe will teach you how to buy and prepare it with style. June 5: Egg Rolls & Egg Creams
Celebrate both Chinese and Eastern European Jewish cultures at the Eldridge Street Synagogue's annual block party. In addition to noshing on kosher egg rolls and egg creams, you can participate in crafts and activities and listen to Chinese opera.
