Saw the Brazilian Girls play in Santa Monica in March. Had never previously heard of them, but after the show I grabbed their CD. Really enjoyable live group, get out & see them.

The Northern Hues from Philly are playing at Arlene's Grocery at 8pm on Friday. Check em out at www.myspace.com/thenorthernhues. If you miss this one, they'll also be at the Knitting Factory and Mercury Lounge over the next couple months. Great band.
