I love the fact that those triangular windows open inwards on hinges. Fresh air in an office building is such a rare commodity these days. The design people at the LMDC should be forced to stand on 42nd St. and stare upwards at the Chrysler Building for 24 hours straight. Perhaps a little inspiration about lasting glorious architecture might be bestowed upon them.

It's a truly magnificent building and stands for everything New Yorkers love about the city. It's never afraid to stand out on it's own and shine, it stood up to critics pans for years until it became pretty much universally loved and it has it's own style that it never ever apologizes for. We are lucky to have it.

for some abstract Chrystler related art, check out Mathew Barney's Cremaster 3, from the Cremaster Cycle. Saw it during the Gug run, wowy...

My dentist shares an office with Weiss - it IS awesome and I highly recommend doing it! I literally lay there getting my teeth cleaned with my feet at one of the triangle windows...which was open. While I was there, I kid you not, a lone red balloon floated by the window. My dentist (I call him Dr. K, he has a long last name I can't spell) wasn't that expensive, I don't have coverage so I have to pay anyway. Cleaning, exam, etc. was like $120.

This may be the best thing I have ever seen in the New York Times. I love the Chrysler Building and all of the stories behind it.
