Gothamist: Central Park Robbery

I don't see how this couple had their guards down - they were walking in broad daylight in a regularly travelled part of the park. Freak shit happens. It's also disheartening to see that they might move because of this. I've been mugged twice in my life but I know enough that doesn't I'm going to keep getting mugged. And "twirling his silver pistol?" What is this the old west?

Well a Mugging is a type of robbery, usually where the person being robbed gets the shit beaten out of them without warning and then gets stripped for cash. This robbery was just a stick up.

It was good that it was just a robbery and not a mugging or a murder. Uh, it looked like a mugging to me. I don't see how you can say it was a robbery and not a mugging. I also can't say if one is better than the other. As for a murder, I'm with you there.
