KP--the point about "braking out the flip flops" comment was the "BREAKING", not the hyphenation of the footwear. Unless we are, in fact, stopping for shoes. And, back on topic, the weather really does suck. This feels like Southern winter to me, and it's been 90 degrees at my parents' house for the last two months.

What's this, the third year in a row we're having a terrible spring? If the weather's consistent with 2003-4, this summer will be nothing but cloudy, grey, and cold. Will it ever get better?

You might even want to use Celcius for temperature! You're right; grey is also acceptable, but British spellings are proper when used consistently (neighborhood should be neighbourhood). But I was only being nit-picky to be a smart-ass. :-P

(sigh)... a brutal return to the Gothamist ranks. So I'm a bit rusty, my editorial parents would be ashamed as I usually spell check my posts prior to posting them. Flip-flops it is. Despair, OMG sorry DESPAIR was it? I concede those indeed. For what its worth... my family, having spent time in England, taught me to spell grey with the 'e', and quite honestly, both are acceptable here in America interchangeably. Interesting that priceline is promoting Niagara Falls, NY as a bigger destination than Orlando. Both are genericamerica at their worst, but Niagara Falls (on the US side) is an absolute dump that no one steps foot in.
