I find it so sad that everyone is so willing to believe exactly what they read or hear on the media. But don't all black men have guns and sell drugs? Chris Manley was a personal friend of mine. He was a loving son and father, and dependable friend to many. He was known to help people for no other reason than he felt it in his heart to do so. He was much more than a one dimensional cariacture portrayed in the news.

Life is never so simple and no situation should be judged simply by what is read or heard.

All I can say is, I knew the guy, we grew up in the same building. I didn't know him very well, but he was always warm and nice to everyone. Whether or not he had a problem, he's not just an "ex-con". He was a neighbor, brother, friend, son. God bless.

see obviously, according to H.K.'s logic, all people who sell shoes and/or fix bicycles are crack dealers.

OMG, I cannot believe you are all letting your prejudices and preconceptions blind you to what is obivously the truth of the situation. Free you minds, people, and the rest will follow.

The poor, unfortunate victim was obviously nothing more than a gentle cobbler simply plying his trade in an informal manner to the good bicyclists in the neighborhood. Obviously talented, word of his good works spread through the bikers grapevine that there was a young man who could take a pair of shoes and custom-fit them to the riders feet as well as their bike pedals. And so in this way did he make a living and still provide some good to the world.

One day one of his biker pals, being down on his luck, said I have no coin, but I can pay you in these crystals. Little did our cobbler friend know that in fact the crystals were...**crack cocaine***!!! Oh, dear! Not knowing what these magical crystals were, he also didn't their obvious great worth. And, of course, not knowing either of these things, how was he to know they were stolen! Oh, no! It was only a matter of time before the rightful owner of the magic crystals tracked him down and then and then and then...

just don't go implying that him having a lot of sneakers had anything to do with it because that would be prejudicial and ignorant or something or other.

This is what happens when the kids get involved with the bicycles. These bicycles are the devil's transportation. Just say no to the bicycles.
