I love this play but me and my friend were having a debate about how many scenes there actually are in "The Pillowman". Could anybody tell me?

I just saw the broadway cast of Pillowman and thought it was quite wonderful. I, however, was lucky enough to see the original London cast at the National Theatre and found the pace of the entire play to be much more on track. Billy Crudupp was wonderful and a carbon copy of the Irish born David Tenent. Although he was similar I was happy with the American Crudupp. Goldblum bulldozed through the entire 30 minutes of the play. He must have cut off 5 or ten minutes from what Jim Broadbent and David Tenent took wonderful dramatic time to act out. Ariel in both shows were wonderful for completely different qualities. Michael was very different also...tall and skinny rather than short and round. Vocally very different too.

I saw the show on the first night of previews. It received a standing ovation that night, and I'm sure it's only gotten better.

This play renewed my faith in Broadway. I have been trying to tell all my friends about it. Everybody I know who has seen it, has loved it.

Macabre is great; I agree and wish there were more plays out there with depth. Saw Hurlyburly over the weekend and loved it. Keep it up, [Off] Broadway!
