Sorry for the short notice, but Product Shop NYC says that the Rolling Stones will be performing a few songs outdoors at Juilliard/Lincoln Center, starting at 12:45PM, to celebrate the news of their new tour. Gothamist did see some tents being put up yesterday on the traverse over West 65th Street, but we thought it was a fundraiser or something.
The NY Daily News has a field day with how old the Rolling Stones are with a list of other things that happened in 1943, the year Mick was born. Updated: The Stones' website has a webcast of parts of the performances. Updated again: cityrag has a photo of the stage and the mini-setlist.

I can't believe they're still around. Levitra and vitamin B do wonders.
ANOTHER tour?!?! Now it's just pathetic boys.
Just got back from the mini-concert. They were great - Start it Up, Oh No Not You Again and Brown Sugar. The age isn't really showing, but then again I was pretty far from the stage.
Tour kicks off in Boston at Fenway in August.
the mini-show was a kick in the pants, loved every second of it...
Set Rocked, loved how cross generational the entire thing was. Julliard kids, Moms with babies and older folks in suits. Couldnt see much from my position but damn, Start me up and brown sugar were awesome the new song was pretty good too.
I live on 60th & Columbus.
We woke up and heard a band warming up
at like 8:00am and we're wondering who
the heck is that. I looked out the window
and The Rolling Stones banner was hanging.
I still had no idea what was going on till
1:00 pm they came up and put everyone to
sleep with Start me Up. The song that
that didnt matter anymore because The Clash
& The Ramones we're allot more interesting
back then. Hang it up all ready.
I'd love to go to a ramones or clash show, but aren't they, like, you know, all dead? the stones are the real deal, and they are still here, hipster snobbery notwithstanding....
no elvis, no clash, no ramones in 2005!
