I do like the Superhero Supply store, but I liked the (unnamed?) earlier McSweeney's store on 7th Ave in Brooklyn where they sold books by the page, casts of birds' feet, and rented tap shoes by the hour for in-store usage.

While I'd never arrrrgue (ugh) against the pirate shop, I think the Superhero Supply Co. is a great storefront. This is Gotham/Metropolis/Bugle-town, after all. When you buy things there -- things like Anti-Matter, Secret Identity Kits, etc. -- you're forced to declare your Superhero name and that you'll use your purchases for good, not evil. Something they should probably start doing at Wal-Mart.

I love when San Franciscans get all pissy about the name of their city. Makes me want to call it "Frisco" all the more.

It's San Francisco. SF or SFO would have also been accepted.
