Blimpy burger where if you don't order the right way, they chew your ass off. Quint with cheese and steak fries. MY THAT IS A TASTY BURGER!!! Go Blue.

Aaargh. This may be a great burger (I haven't had it...) but I'm getting a bit cranky about all these places calling themselves "Burger Joint". To me, there's one "Burger Joint"--Big Nick's on B'way @ 76th. The rest need to just change their names. : ) Jamie

The original cigarbox McDonalds only had 3 items which were ordered in sequence 3-2-1... 3 burgers,2 fries & 1 drink.

Let me be the first to give a ringing endorsement to The Burger Joint on 3rd. The burgers are very good there; they taste like the meat is mixed with some sort of seasoning and/or chopped onions. Definitely be sure to order yours with their grilled onions. Though as good as the Joint is, I think that Shake Shack is the current reigning king of Manhattan burgers. Shack’s ground mixture of sirloin and brisket tastes like no other burger I had. There’s a reason why they have ridiculously long lines in Madison Sq Park. IMHO, Shack might make the best burger I ever had (plus I’m a big frozen custard fan). The Joint & the Shack are located close enough to one another that you can stop at both in one trip to compare & contrast. Or even better yet, add a third stop at New York Burger (which is just 1 block from the Shack) and try another of Manhattan’s best burgers.
