<description>&lt;p&gt;Speaking of weather, and in particular Accuweather, there&apos;s storm front developing over a pro-corporate bill introduced last week by Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa. in the Senate which &quot;would prohibit federal meteorologists from competing with companies such as AccuWeather and The Weather Channel, which offer their own forecasts through paid services and free ad-supported Web sites.&quot;

Basically that means that, if it passes, the National Weather Service will be prohibited from releasing free weather data because these &quot;federal services threaten the livelihoods of private weather companies.&quot;
