This along with the smoking ban is great news. Now if we can just ban swearing and drinking in bars and stop people from swimming less than an hour after eating I know I'll sleep better a night.

Apparently a lot of sex shop complaints are in Greenwich Village, which does have a lot of sex shops, but please, there are so many bars in that neighborhood, I'd imagine the drunks would be a pain to deal with too. I'm not sure what this means for Babes in Toyland. My brief scans of the articles doesn't really give a clear sense of which stores this affects (maybe the stores that get zoned out are ones people have complaints against?) - maybe I can look more later or someone can clarify how this works.

Nobody pushes strollers through the Times Square area. But if you follow the pattern of sex shops being pushed out in one place and popping up elsewhere, look toward the outer boroughs where people do live and people do push strollers around. It's supply and demand folks. If you think the adult video stores in the Village are tacky now, you ain't seen nothing yet if this thing goes through.
