the info posted on this website is incorrect. it claims that stone park cafe is participating in the $19.55 prix fixe, but this is simply not true. i went there for dinner last night and there was no such offer. the food itself was twice that price and more importantly, subpar. unfortunately, this website's misinformation led me to a very disappointing night.

This is in response to the person who thinks certain restaurants aren't a bargain at $20 like Waterfront. I went to Waterfront on Monday and had an amazing deal. I started with a mound of Mussels in Hoegaarden sauce, chile and cumin crusted fillet of perfectly cooked salmon and ended with a great slice of key lime pie. You have to look specifically at the menu they are offering for this deal. Trust me, most ARE worth it.

Er, less than $20 for 3 courses? I think that is an incorrect.

river cafe isn't even participating. I can't believe these restaurants are charging $20 (cuz lets call a spade a spade) for meals which are normally waaay less.

It's possible the lunch specials are less, but I couldn't find any additional information on that.

JP, Patois is actually within reach if you go on Tues-Thurs. They have a $20 prix fixe.

This year I want to try Bistro St. Marks or Blue Ribbon. Or maybe I'll use it as an excuse to drag some co-workers to Frankies.

I'm baffled by some of the restaurants on the list having a $19.55 lunch. I eat lunch at most of these places on a regular basis for a lot less than that. (Water Street? El Cubanito? hardly a bargain) I guess it includes three courses, but I'd be one sleepy office worker that afternoon if I ate them all. The only place where it's worth going for the lunch is probably River Cafe.

I took advantage of Brooklyn restaurant week last year and had a GREAT dinner at Patois, which is usually beyond my budget. Well worth it.

I can barely afford to live in Brooklyn, so I guess I'll have to, uh, dine in.
