Some facts about Daylight Saving Time:

Benjamin Franklin is believed to have invented the concept.

It was invented to save energy costs, not to aid farmers. (In fact, farmers dislike shifting the time because the animals don't adjust easily.)

It's not Daylight Savings Time, but actually spelled Daylight Saving Time, without the s.

The 2AM thing is because some bar establishments can't serve drinks after 2AM, so the time doesn't interfere with the law! More info here.
