Since we'll be out of the city all weekend and unable to attend, we'll let you in on some secret shows taking place. First up is Bloc Party at LES club Libation [137 Ludlow St], who in an attempt to bring in some of the jaded downtowners, has started to book shows. The band goes on at midnight, but get there early and wear your best shoes - there's a velvet rope.
Just down the street on top of the glass tower that is the Hotel on Rivington [107 Rivington St], Moby will play to a crowd of about 100. Free champagne and tea will be served, be there by 9 to assure a spot.
There will also be unicorns set to run free throughout the streets as laser generated rainbows luminate even the darkest corners of Delancey Street, all while reunited band The Unicorns play on the F stop platform.

MUSIC: Tonight catch The Album Leaf who play at Northsix, tickets are still available and only $10. Definitely worth it.
SHOPPING/EVENT: The Music Memorabilia Show takes over the Tip Top Shoe Building [155 West 72nd Street, 4th Floor] on Saturday April 2nd (as well as on May 7th, June 4th and July 2nd).
Available for purchase will be sheet music, photographs, posters, magazines and books. And of course records spanning every genre. Over 10,000 items. From 1800s to 1980s.

FILM: Beginning last night and running through tomorrow (April 2nd) is the Chamberlain Bros. International Student Film Festival at the Tribeca Cinemas [54 Varick Street]
This three-day festival celebrates the talents of the best and brightest student film makers (including several student Academy Award nominees and medal winners)--it also launches the publication of its accompanying book and DVD project, The Chamberlain Bros. International Student Film Festival (with an introduction by legendary film director Roger Corman).

THEATER: The Brick Theater [575 Metropolitan Ave, Williamsburg] brings a new installment, this Sunday April 3rd, of Brick-a-Brac. The group commences two original radio serials written and performed by The Brick Radio Players. Each monthly episode of these ongoing sagas will be written by a different member of the cast. Utilizing guest stars, audience participation, and live foley sound to create a unique theatrical experience. These events are also available as downloadable Podcasts, which are available here.
